Birds of a feather? Zoo to split up ‘gay’ penguins
The Toronto Zoo is planning to split up a pair of male African penguins named Buddy and Pedro. The two display signs of mating behaviors, but for the good of their endangered species, they are going to have to try to learn some new moves.
Didn’t Leslie Knope accidentally marry these two in season 2?
this pulled at my heart strings a litte…
We’ve got a vote up on TODAY.com — and 82% thinks the zoo ought not to split up the happy penguin couple. (Who are the other 18%?!)
Poor penguins…

Photobombing Elephant Seal of the Day: An elephant seal photobombs a King Penguin photoshoots at Saint Andrews Bay, South Georgia.
“I was about to take a picture of the penguins when suddenly from the other side of the dune appeared a young elephant seal,” says French photographer Michel Watson. “It stood for about six seconds just staring at us before going back down and disappearing. A few seconds later he was standing again and he did this at least 15 times. The whole thing was very bizarre and lasted a good five minutes.”
